Facebook’s parent company Meta has signed a deal to acquire Manus, a Chinese AI agent with advanced artificial intelligence. Manus was developed by a company that was founded in China but is now headquartered in Singapore. Financial details of the deal were not disclosed.
According to experts, AI agents have the potential to go far beyond traditional chatbots like ChatGPT because they can automate complex tasks on behalf of users. For example, Manus can automatically perform tasks such as sorting and summarizing job applications, or creating a website based on stock market analysis.
